Modern Industrial Bedroom

In this blog I want to talk a little about change; we all go through it as we evolve yet we usually don't like it and try to avoid it. We might not notice a big difference in our kids on a day to basis but when they want something different that is when it hits home. Starting new school, losing their first tooth, having their first breakup or going away to college.

It can be hard to let go and contain ourselves from making all of the decisions but deep down we all know we have to step back little by little and watch them turn into amazing young adults.

In this room makeover I get to see a mom of three do just that. Letting her son paint a black wall in his bedroom might not be her favorite thing to do but she is open to change and new things. In a beautiful house filled with love and white walls, she understands what a privilege it is to give him space and watch him grow. #momgoals

Like I always say, I personally love a neutral aesthetic in common living spaces like the living room, dining room and kitchen but the bedroom is more personal and should tell a story of who we are and the things we like. Do not be afraid of a dark paint color or to choose that fancy light fixture you love so much, change is good, different is good!

At the end of the day, you should take your time to turn your home into your personal oasis, you might go out and about for work and vacations, but you will always come back home.
